Meet Dan Weldon

A New Generation of Leadership for Tampa

Dan Weldon is a Tampa native who learned early that fighting for what’s right often means taking on powerful people. That instinct followed him to the University of Florida, where he walked on to the football team and played linebacker for the Gators — learning what discipline, loyalty, and toughness really mean.

On campus, Dan stepped into the fight for conservative values. He founded a conservative student organization and built it into one of the largest chapters in the country, then was elected statewide chairman of the College Republicans of Florida with more than two-thirds of the vote. In 2019, he was recognized at the White House for his work defending free speech on college campuses.

He graduated with honors from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, began his career as a prosecutor, and today works as a litigation attorney representing people who are too often outmatched by powerful systems. Dan and his wife, Theresa, live in Tampa.

Where Dan Stands

The Issues

A direct, honest campaign built on real conversations with voters — here’s what Dan is fighting for.

I’m Dan Weldon, and I’m running for Florida’s State House because the American Dream is under attack. For generations, that dream meant something real — if you worked hard and took responsibility for your family, you could build a life you were proud of. To save the American Dream, a new generation must rise.
